This series of GPR took part in archaeological subsurface explorations (Kiev-Pechersk Lavra territory, caves in Ternopil and Lviv region), speleology (Ukrainian caves Ozerna, Mlynki, Ulashkivska etc.), relief and ice structure exploration in Antarctica etc.

The origin of trademark VIY® derives both from the classic Ukrainian literature and Eastern-Slavic mythology:
"VIY is a tremendous creature of folk imagination. This name was given by Ukrainians for a head of dwarves. He had very long eyelids going down to earth."
