Depending on the georadar set, sounding can be carried out

• moving the georadar with a telescopic handle - "manual" mode
• install the georadar on a handcart - "cart" mode
• when towing a georadar behind a vehicle - "trailer" mode

Most VIY georadar can be used in all these ways, except for the lowest frequency VIY5-070 and VIY5-125, as well as the VIY5-1500 concrete scanner. These GPRs can only be used in manual mode.

"Manual" mode

An odometer and a telescopic pole are attached to the GPR antenna. It is don't need any extra tools to fixing pole and odometer to GPR . It is made manually.

For different models of georadar, there are different models of odometers

 
6'' VO-12,  8'' VO-22 and 12'' VO-36  bi-directional odometers.,

 
VIY5-1500 GPR has own build-in odometer.

"Cart" mode.

Cart-36 is a four-wheel foldable GPR trolley. It is compatible with VIY5900, VIY5-600, VIY5-300, VIY5-37.

"Trailler" mode

Single axle trailer Cart-6 made from strong fiberglass, one of the wheels is a bi-directional odometer, a bolt for the GPS receiver pole attachment..
